5 Blood Parameters You Should Know

USED TO CHECK BLOOD PARAMETERS IN DIABETES MELLITUS:

HbA 1c TEST: HbA1c is a form of hemoglobin (a bloodpigment that carries oxygen) that is bound to glucose.

FASTING BLOOD SUGAR TEST:  A blood sample will be taken after an overnight fast. Fasting blood sugar levels give vital clues about how a person’s body is managing blood sugar.

RANDOM BLOOD SUGAR TEST: Random glucose test (random blood glucose) is a blood sugar test taken from a non-fasting subject. This test, also called capillary blood glucose (CBG), assumes a recent meal and therefore has higher reference values than the fasting glucose test.

USED TO CHECK BLOOD PARAMETERS IN NEPHROLOGY CONDITION

URIC ACID: uric acidblood test, also known as a serum uric acid measurement, determines how much uric acid is present in your blood. The test can help determine how well your body produces and removes uric acid. Uric acid is a chemical produced when your body breaks down foods that contain organic compounds called purines.

CREATNINE: Creatinine is a waste product produced by muscles from the breakdown of a compound called creatinine. It is removed from the body by the kidneys, which filter almost all of it from the blood and release it into the urine. This test measures the amount of creatinine in the blood and/or urine.

BUN: Urea is a waste product formed in the liver when proteinis metabolized into its component parts (amino acids). This process produces ammonia, which is then converted into the less toxic waste product urea. This test measures the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) level in the blood.
