INTERMITTENT FASTING It is a type of diet in which people cycle between periods of eating and fasting.

Intermittent fasting means not eating during certain time slots. Depending on the method, the fasting lasts between 16 and 24 hours and maximum of 500 to 600 calories are consumed on two days within a week. The best known form of intermittent fasting is the 16: 8 methods which involve eating only during an eight hour window during the day and fasting for the remaining 16 hours.

Fasting may also improve the way your body manages glucose (blood sugar) and cut down in insulin resistance.
While doing fasting if you have diabetes is that your blood sugar levels could go low (this is called hypoglycemia) and if you take medications like insulin to control your diabetes. If you don’t eat, your blood sugars levels are lower and medication may drop them even more, which can lead to hypoglycemia or even go into coma.
