The weather is changing as the winter season is coming to end. This has made people more susceptible to cold and cough. Instead of turning to cough syrup try ajwain cinnamon water. Both the ingredients are part of many Indian households. Apart from curing cough and cold this detox water is also very effective in reducing weight.
Ajwain or carom seeds are said to be of Asian origin. This Spice is used extensively in different parts of country especially in Rajasthan where no dish is complete without the use of ajwain. Apart from its flavor and aroma it is used for many of its health benefits.
What you need??
You do not require ingredients that are very expensive and available in limited stores only. We only need ingredients that are readily available in all the local markets.
- 1 tbsp Ajwain (Carom seeds)
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 6 glasses of water
Add 1 tbsp ajwain and a pinch of cinnamon powder to six glasses of water. Boil this mixture on medium flame. Let it cool and then strain out and consume this water in a single day.
If you are having ajwain cinnamon water to reduce weight then have it empty stomach in the morning by adding lemon juice to it. Drink this water after half an hour or one hour or whenever you take water after your meal.
Additionally, you can also add basil leaves and a pinch of turmeric powder. They both have anti inflammatory properties. Other than this, basil has antibacterial while turmeric has antiseptic properties. One can add black pepper as well but remember to add it after boiling the water. If you add black pepper while boiling the water then it will give astringent flavor.
